My haircare routine has not changed much since the last routine I did. But there are some additions. You can find the history, texture, color and more about my hair in that post. So let’s begin.

I have been using coconut oil these days for my hair nothing fancy. And I oil and shampoo my hair twice a week. If you know me I still believe in natural remedies and so have been using aloe vera gel directly from the aloe vera plant to apply on my scalp to help for various reasons. I still believe in using Apple Cider Vinegar to treat lice and dandruff and moisturize your hair.
I use two shampoos lately and it depends how my hair is feeling and what treatment I think will be helpful.
Both shampoos are from the same brand and cruelty-free as well as paraben free. The Henna Tulsi one helps keep my hair regularly conditioned and soft. Whenever I feel like my hair has become dry and sticky I prefer to use this shampoo. It smells super awesome and leaves my bathroom smelling like a floral garden and hair super fresh.
The Neem shampoo is best for all hair types. It deeply cleanses your hair from dirt and impurities and also dandruff to an extent. Smells pretty amazing too.
Both of these shampoos have been so helpful and I recommend it to all. The henna Tulsi is especially beneficial for dry hair types.
Next is how I have been straightening my hair.
I bought this hair straightening brush from Amazon just to try out how straightened hair looks on me. I didn’t want the very strong and prominent look of ironed straight hair. And also wasn’t up for the fuss it involved. The maximum heat that this brush produces is 230° C in case you were wondering.
You can increase and decrease the temperature. Honestly, I was skeptical and so didn’t splurge on getting a branded product and just tried out with this and believe me I have been using it a lot and often. I will highlight here that if you are looking for something really prominent and a very professionally straightened look, you might not be satisfied with this product. But as it is a brush it adds a different look to a wavy hair like mine.
I use Batiste hair protectant spray before straightening my hair. It adds shine and helps with maintaining the straightened hair.
Once I discovered this I have tried different hairstyles as after straightening my hair becomes more manageable.
I hope you found something helpful from this routine! What new thing you tried out in your routine that you were skeptical about but eventually found helpful?
